The IDF is entering the crucial final phase of its operations in Judea and Samaria as the Jewish High Holidays approach, amid escalating regional tensions.

Over the past ten days, Operation Summer Camps has targeted refugee camps in northern Samaria, resulting in the elimination of 64 terrorists and the seizure of dozens of weapons. Despite these gains, military officials stress that the operation remains ongoing.

On Monday, a coordinated effort by Israeli forces, the Shin Bet, and police led to the arrest of terror suspects on Highway 6, including a member of a terror cell plotting an imminent attack. The situation is becoming increasingly volatile, with growing fears of a potential Palestinian intifada. This unrest is marked by a surge in attacks on roads and settlements.

Israeli security forces are concentrating on three critical areas of concern. Firstly, there are numerous warnings about imminent terror threats, particularly from northern Samaria, where recent operations have been focused. A recent bombing in Tel Aviv, which narrowly avoided a major disaster, is believed to be linked to an organized terror ring in Nablus. There is also anxiety about the potential spread of terror activities from northern Samaria to other West Bank regions, especially Hebron.

Last month saw two car bombings near Gush Etzion and the deaths of three police officers in a separate attack near Tarqumiyah. Both incidents involved terrorists from the Hebron area, where Israeli officials are increasingly worried about Hamas's growing presence and its potential to exacerbate the already tense situation.

In recent weeks, online videos have emerged showing armed terrorists parading through refugee camps, often surrounded by civilians, which has intensified perceptions of triumph among these groups. The circulation of these images has sparked criticism of Israeli security forces for not swiftly neutralizing the gunmen.

“These videos are a grave concern, and we are addressing them with utmost seriousness,” stated a senior military official. “We are actively targeting terrorists. Many of the key figures in Jenin are no longer a threat—they have been removed from the streets.”
