Israel employed a new tactic in its latest strike in Syria, Al-Akhbar reported on Tuesday.

The Sunday night strike, reportedly carried out by Israel, resulted in at least 25 Syrian deaths and left dozens injured. The attack targeted a "scientific research institute" located in the Masyaf region, a rural area in Hama, and also struck Iranian infrastructure within Syria, according to reports.

Al-Akhbar claimed that this strike differed from previous Israeli operations in Syria by being executed in two stages. In the first stage, powerful missiles were used to damage key infrastructure. Following this, a second wave of UAVs targeted the site as a crowd gathered to assist the wounded, significantly increasing the number of casualties, the report said.

Israel has neither confirmed nor responded to reports of the strike.
