New Harvard/Harris poll: Trump and Harris dead even

The poll also shows that inflation and prices continue to be voters' number one concern, even after the rate of inflation has slowed significantly. A lot now rides on the debate to be held tomorrow between the two candidates.

A new Harvard-Harris poll shows Donald Trump and Kamala Harris almost dead even in the race for the Presidency, just two months before the election.

The poll also showed that inflation and the economy remain voters' number one concern, with 42% of voters citing inflation as the most important issue, followed by 33% of voters who said immigration.

The number increases to 46% when it comes to issues affecting voters personally, fully 30 points ahead of the second issue immigration.

Regarding the presidential race itself, Trump leads Harris by just one point, 47-46, if other candidates are an option, while he is tied with Harris 50-50 if leaners are pushed.

Trump continues to win among whites and those without a college degree, while Harris wins with women and those with a BA or more. While Harris wins with Black Americans and Hispanic Americans, the margins are particularly close historically - 71-22 ad 50-43, respectively.

A lot is riding on the debate between Harris and Trump tomorrow, as the Democratic candidate seeks to revive what is seen as "stalled" momentum and Trump seeks to sink Harris' candidacy much like he did Biden's.
