A five-year-old girl from Kiryat Gat was miraculously discharged from Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon on Sunday after surviving a fall from the eighth floor. Remarkably, she only sustained minor bruises, thanks to landing on a patch of bushes that cushioned her fall.
The incident unfolded when the girl’s parents briefly stepped down to the parking lot to retrieve items, leaving her asleep at home. Upon waking and discovering her parents were not around, the girl, in a panic, climbed onto a chair, opened the locked balcony door, and fell.
Fortunately, a pair of teenagers who witnessed the fall found her fully conscious and promptly returned her to her home, ensuring she received the immediate care she needed.
The girl's parents described the incident as a "miracle" and announced their intention to hold a festive thanksgiving meal.
