Prime Minister Netanyahu discussed the government's future plans for dealing with Hamas and Hezbollah at the weekly government meeting today (Sunday).

According to Israel Hayom, Netanyahu said that "we are currently focused on amputating the Iranian arm in the south, and working so that there will be no more Hamas rule in Gaza. There is a great deal of progress in denying military capabilities."

Regarding the "day after" in the Gaza Strip, he said that "discussions are being held nowadays on the question of the distribution of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The moment Hamas loses the ability to distribute, it will lose the ability to rule."

Regarding Hezbollah, Netanyahu said that he has instructed the military and defense forces to prepare for a significant operation against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

A senior defense source speaking to N12 News said that Israel is moving closer to a broad operation in Lebanon, though no exact date has been set, yet.
