Approximately two weeks after Israel's preemptive strike in Lebanon, the newspaper *Israel Hayom* reveals the data behind the strike against Hezbollah, showing that Hassan Nasrallah's organization suffered a significant blow to its missile inventory. The report further indicates that the elimination of Hezbollah's chief of staff, Fuad Shukur, severely impaired Hezbollah's capabilities. According to Lilach Shoval’s report, around 7,000 Hezbollah launchers and about 20% of Hezbollah's short-range rockets were hit during the attack. Estimates by the IDF suggest that before the preemptive strike, Hezbollah had fewer than 40,000 short-range rockets, defined by the IDF as those reaching a range of approximately 40 km from the border, and around 5,000 medium-range rockets.
Additionally, before October 7th, Hezbollah had over 2,400 Radwan Unit operatives, Hezbollah's elite fighters, and about 500 Islamic Jihad activists along the Lebanon-Israel border. Estimates indicate that today, after 11 months of fighting, there are several hundred operatives along the border, half of them between 7 km from the border and the Litani River.
