Last night (Wednesday/Thursday), IDF helicopters struck terrorists hiding in the humanitarian zone and using the targeted site as a command and control center.

According to the IDF, the site, located in the Deir el-Balah area, was used by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists to direct attacks on IDF forces and against the State of Israel.

The IDF took a number of steps to reduce civilian casualties, including the use of precise weaponry, overflights, and precise intelligence.

The IDF has already had to conduct a number of ground incursions into parts of the humanitarian zone, ordering temporary evacuations until the completion of operations, especially in the Khan Yunis and Deir el-Balah areas.
