A short time ago (Wednesday), a suspicious object was thrown at the Israeli Embassy in Washington DC, without causing harm to the building or the embassy staff, according to Israel Hayom.

The matter is currently being handled by the local police and the embassy staff.

This is not the first time the embassy has been a target: a "suspicious package" had also been placed near the embassy in March and was investigated by the Secret Service and the FBI, according to ABC News.

A similar event occurred in September 2016 following reports of a "suspicious person" wearing a bulletproof vest was seen near the embassy, according to the Times of Israel.
