"We need to put an end to it": Gallant addresses escalating terrorism in Judea and Samaria

The Defense Minister conducted a situational assessment in Judea and Samaria, where he insisted in ending the terrorist escalation "with full force." He said that "we are mowing the grass, the time will come that we will remove the roots - this we must do."

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant arrived in northern Samaria today (Wednesday) to discuss the situation in the region with senior IDF commanders, including commanders of the IDF's regional brigades, the IDF's Judea and Samaria Area divisional commander and more.

At the end of the situational assessment, Gallant said that "the process is offensive to prevent terrorism - this is the main story. And in effect we are mowing the grass, the time will come that we will remove the roots - this we must do."

"The awakening that comes with car bombs with explosive devices and continues with fire everywhere - these are things which need to be ended. These terrorist organizations which call themselves all sorts of names ... these are things that need to be erased, every such terrorist needs to be eliminated, if he surrenders - to be arrested. There is nothing else, use all forces, everything you need, in full force."
