Eitan Arousi, an intelligence analyst who was behind exposing Iran's economic mechanism, addressed the U.S. decision to file charges against Yahya Sinwar and Hamas leaders following the October 7th massacre, and explains the practical significance of such a decision.

In an interview with 'Israel Hayom', Arousi said: "This move emphasizes who the administration sees as on the good side and who's on the bad side, that the U.S. is on our side and the terrorists are on the other. This is a very important statement."

"Secondly," he added, "it's worth noting that Ismail Haniyeh is also on the list of defendants due to money transfers appearing in his name. The implication is that anyone involved in these money transfers could be arrested, interrogated, and possibly stand trial."

"The third point, which is perhaps the most important, is that anyone connected to the defendants and located in the U.S., whether through business-financial connections or other connections, is now at risk of criminal prosecution by the government on terrorism charges."
