Border police officers arrested a Palestinian woman who attempted to smuggle four additional illegal Palestinian immigrants into Israel at the az-Za'ayyem checkpoint near Jerusalem, Israel Police reported on Wednesday.

The vehicle, which originated from the West Bank, was adorned with a yellow ribbon symbolizing support for hostages held by Hamas and an air freshener featuring the Israeli flag, raising suspicion among the security forces.

Upon inspection, police discovered that the driver was an illegal immigrant from the West Bank. Accompanying her were four other illegal immigrants, one of whom was concealed in the trunk.

The vehicle also contained Israeli flags, a yarmulke, a wig, and Palestinian license plates that had been swapped for Israeli ones taken from an Israeli car. An indictment was filed against the four illegal immigrants for attempting to enter or reside in Israel illegally. The driver's detention was extended.
