The information has just been revealed that in recent weeks, the Shin Bet foiled two major terrorist attacks planned by terrorists from Nablus in the heart of the country, in addition to foiling over 200 bomb attacks since the beginning of the year.

In the assessment of security officials, the explosive charges were intended for use by terrorist elements to carry out severe terrorist attacks inside Israel. What is meant by 200 foiled attacks is that almost every day a huge attack in Israel is thwarted, and this reflects the level of threat, the level of warning and the scope of terrorism that the security agencies are dealing with.

The first huge attack that started the current severe wave, was a car that exploded at the entrance to Hebron, following what is defined as a work accident by two terrorists while assembling a large explosive device. It was a Hamas squad that assembled the cargo from agricultural fertilizers.

A day later a miracle occurred in the heart of Tel Aviv when a suicide bomber who left Nablus arrived near a synagogue in the city. A malfunction caused by the load he was carrying on his body led to his death earlier than expected, and miraculously only a passerby was slightly injured.

Last weekend, two car bombs exploded prematurely in Gush Etzion, one at the intersection of the block and the other at the entrance to the settlement of Karmi Tzur. Luckily this ended with three minor to moderate injuries.
