During operations in the Beit Lahia area of the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF located and destroyed an offensive tunnel discovered in the Beit Lahia area.
The tunnel, which was found to be over a kilometer long, was located by forces of the Gaza Division and the Northern Brigade with the cooperation of the Yahalom combat engineering unit, with the aid of prior intelligence information.
The contours of the tunnel were studied and mapped out over the course of a few weeks. Weapons, electric infrastructure, and even a track for transportation was discovered within the tunnel.
