Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was kidnapped on October 7th from the Nova music festival to Hamas captivity in Gaza, is being laid to rest today (Monday) at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem, after his body was located in Gaza tunnels and recovered by IDF soldiers at the end of last week.

Hersh Goldberg-Polin was born in 2000 to Jon Polin and Rachel Goldberg, from the United States. He was born in Berkeley, California, and then in 2008, when he was seven years old, he immigrated to Israel with his family. He has two younger sisters. On October 7th, Hersh went with his friends to the Nova music festival in Re'im and was kidnapped by Hamas terrorists after hiding in the "death shelter" in Re'im.
