Histadrut, major businesses to go on strike for hostages tomorrow

Major demonstrations are also expected tonight throughout the country with the aim of pressuring the government into a hostage deal.

Following the execution of six hostages this weekend, the Histadrut has declared a general solidarity strike of a few hours throughout the country for tomorrow (Monday). Several major businesses affiliated with the Businesses Forum are expected to join in, according to reporting by Maariv and Ynet.

Major protests are also expected throughout the country in the north and center tonight.

Local leaders in Ariel and the Samaria Council said they would not be joining in the strike.
