Hostage bodies returned, family reaction

Father of Hostage Screams: "Keyboard Heroes, You Killed Us Since 8 PM"

The father of the late Uri Danino, who was murdered in Hamas captivity and whose body was returned to Israel last night, cried out about the rumors circulating on social media before the family received the official notification: "Stop collecting ratings and followers on the backs of bereaved families."

Elhanan Danino, father of the late Ori Danino, was interviewed this morning on Army Radio (Galatz) in response to the rumours that spread throughout the country about the murder of his son: "Please, you keyboard heroes, stop, stop! You killed us since eight in the evening. Stop! I beg and plead for the sake of other families, so they don’t go through what we went through last night. Stop collecting rating points and followers on the backs of bereaved families. Please, we’re talking about people’s lives here! I call on state authorities to deal with such people and put them behind bars."

The father spoke about his son: "Ori fought in combat units, a career soldier who entered hell on October 7, after he had already left the party just to save Maya and Itai Regev and Omer Shem Tov." This morning, it was permitted to publish that the IDF and Shin Bet located and retrieved last night (Saturday) from an underground tunnel in the Rafah area the bodies of the hostages Carmel Gat, Eden Yerushalmi, Hirsch Goldberg-Pollin, Alexander Lubanov, Almog Sarusi, and Staff Sergeant Ori Danino, returning them to Israeli territory.

They were kidnapped on October 7 and murdered by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. In his statement this morning, IDF Spokesperson Brigadier General Daniel Hagar said: According to the initial assessment, they were brutally murdered by Hamas terrorists shortly before IDF forces arrived. They were found in an underground tunnel approximately one kilometer from the tunnel where Farhan Al-Kaid was located last week. A battle took place above the tunnel between IDF forces and the terrorists.
