Cleared for publication: Staff Sergeant Elkana Navon fell in Jenin

Two soldiers wounded in fierce battle amidst ongoing clashes.

Staff Sergeant Elkana Navon, a 20-year-old from Petah Tikva, was killed in battle in Samaria, the IDF announced.

Navon served as a squad commander in the 906th Battalion, Infantry Training School (Bislach) Brigade. He lost his life during operational activity in the Menashe Regional Brigade area. In the same incident, an officer from the 906th Battalion was severely injured.

Earlier today, a reservist from the 9207th Battalion, 16th Brigade, was also severely injured during operational activity in the central Gaza Strip.

The injured soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been informed.

Ha'emek Medical Center, where the soldier injured in Jenin was taken, reported that he is in serious but stable condition. Two others were lightly injured in the Jenin fighting.
