During the IDF's recent activities, social media in Tubas repeatedly warned about UAVs flying over the city and urged militants to take precautions and avoid being outdoors. However, following the operation, it appears that the fear of aerial bombardment among the militants has dissipated.
The day before yesterday, just hours before the IDF launched the extensive operation, a public gathering of militants took place with the presence of at least 20 terrorists from the local terror battalion. Despite the public nature of the gathering and its occurrence under the open sky, the IDF refrained from delivering a powerful opening strike with an aerial bombardment.
"Targeted Operations and PR Statements Will Not Restore Security"
In response, the "Fighting for Life" headquarters, which leads protests in the West Bank against terrorism, stated: "The consistent avoidance by the IDF of bombing militant processions and activities within hospitals that have become terror bases demonstrates that the security establishment still adheres to a 'pinpoint' policy—even if it is applied more intensively."
"Every terrorist neutralization is welcomed, but targeted operations alone will not restore security, nor will PR statements from the IDF. The true solution will come only when the security establishment understands that a real war must be waged against the enemy and all its supporters, including the inciting schools and mosques calling for the murder of Jews, with the evacuation of populations and massive destruction of any village that produces terror actions," they added.
