Duma Murder, Amiram Ben Uliel, Dawabsheh

Duma convict Amiram Ben Uliel moved to religious prison wing

Murderer of Dawabsheh family transferred from high-security facility to religious section.

The Shin Bet has decided to transfer Amiram Ben Uliel, who was convicted of the 2015 murder of the Dawabsheh family in the village of Duma, from a high-security detention facility to a religious wing.

This move, first reported by Amit Segal, was initiated by the Shin Bet and is the result of coordinated efforts by religious Zionist rabbis, including Rabbi Yaakov Medan, Rabbi Menachem Burshtein, and representatives of Rabbi Dov Lior, along with officials from the Jewish Department of the Shin Bet.

According to Segal, the decision to transfer Ben Uliel to a religious wing was made on humanitarian grounds. During last Passover and the recent fall holidays, Ben Uliel had already been temporarily moved from solitary confinement to a religious wing.

The "Justice for Amiram" organization recently expressed concerns over Ben Uliel's deteriorating condition after his transfer from solitary confinement in Eshel Prison to solitary confinement in the high-security wing at Ayalon Prison.
