A few hours after the operation began in northern Samaria and the Jordan Valley, Palestinians are reporting an IDF force surrounding the hospitals in Jenin, Tulkarem, and Tubas. It is also reported that the troops are interrogating the medical staff at these locations. Additionally, the governor of Jenin noted that the IDF informed the Palestinian Civil Administration of the security forces' intention to storm the hospital complex, which has been under siege since the morning.
As reported, shortly after midnight, an IDF spokesperson announced that the security forces had initiated Operation "Summer Camps" to combat terrorism and destroy terrorist infrastructure in Jenin and Tulkarem. According to reports, about nine terrorists have been eliminated so far.
As part of the large-scale divisional operation, the IDF is surrounding hospitals near refugee camps, including the Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin, to prevent the entry of terrorists and is screening patients entering the hospitals.
It was also reported that IDF forces from the Kfir Brigade, the Duvdevan Unit, engineering units, and additional units continue to operate in the extensive operation focused on three refugee camps: Jenin, Nur a-Shams in Tulkarem, and al-Faraa in the northern Jordan Valley.
