Security forces launched a large-scale counterterrorism operation in Jenin and Tulkarm overnight on Tuesday, according to a joint statement by the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet). The operation also extended to Palestinian Arab villages in the Jordan Valley and Shechem (Nablus).

Palestinian Arab reports indicate that at least eleven terrorists have been eliminated in the ongoing operation. Some reports also mention injuries among terrorists in Nur Shams near Tulkarm, where an explosive device reportedly detonated.

Further reports suggest that IDF troops are surrounding Ibn Sina Hospital in Jenin.

On Wednesday morning, the IDF released video footage from Monday's strike, which showed the elimination of five terrorists operating from an operations room in Nur Shams. The structure was reportedly used for coordinating terrorist activities and targeting IDF soldiers in the area.

Among those eliminated was Jibril Jasan Ismail Jibril, a terrorist involved in activities in Tulkarm and Qalqilya who had been released as part of an agreement in November 2023. Also killed were Mohanad Qarawi and Muhammad Yussef, both involved in terrorist activities in Nur Shams, and Adnan Jaber, who was engaged in manufacturing explosives intended to harm security forces.
