Rocket attack on Rishon Lezion, Hamas-Israel war

After 7 Months: Hamas Fired a Rocket at Rishon Lezion

The military wing of Hamas announced the firing of an M-90 rocket towards the Gush Dan area, with an alarm sounding in Rishon Lezion for the first time since January. The rocket exploded in an open area. After many months, a Red Alert was issued in the Rishon Lezion area. It appears to be a single rocket launch.

The warning is for rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. The last time a rocket was fired from Gaza at Rishon Lezion was in January, over seven months ago.

The military wing of Hamas stated that they fired an M-90 rocket towards Tel Aviv. Residents in southern Tel Aviv heard a loud explosion. Initial reports indicate that two rockets were launched from Khan Younis, one exploded within the Gaza Strip, and the second exploded in an open area.

The IDF spokesperson said: "Following the alert activated in the Rishon Lezion area, one launch was identified that crossed from the south of the Gaza Strip and fell in an open area in the Rishon Lezion area."

There were no casualties in the incident.

Magen David Adom (MDA) stated: "Following the alarms heard in the last few minutes in the Rishon Lezion sector: At this stage, no reports have been received of impacts or interceptor debris. MDA teams were dispatched to assist a 26-year-old woman who was injured while moving to a protected area."
