A vehicular attack occurred shortly ago (Sunday) at the Ariel Junction in Samaria. A man, approximately 39 years old, was lightly injured, and another woman experienced a panic attack. Initial details indicate that a Palestinian vehicle (apparently without license plates) accelerated and attempted to run over soldiers while driving against traffic. The soldiers returned fire, hitting two suspects inside the car. One of the attackers was killed, and the other was injured.

Preliminary investigation shows that a suspicious vehicle coming from the Tapuach junction towards the Ariel junction drove against traffic towards the city of Ariel, collided with an Israeli vehicle, with no reported casualties on our side. The suspicious vehicle then made a U-turn near the city entrance and attempted to flee. Military forces saw it and fired at the vehicle, resulting in hits.

The two occupants of the vehicle who tried to run over the soldiers were neutralized and injured, and are being treated by IDF forces.

Magen David Adom (MDA) reported: "At 18:19, a report was received at MDA's 101 emergency center in the Yarkon area about an attempted vehicular attack on Highway 505 near the Ariel junction. MDA paramedics and medics provided medical treatment and are evacuating a 39-year-old man in very light condition with a superficial abdominal injury to Beilinson Hospital, and a 68-year-old woman suffering from a panic attack."
