Netanyahu: IDF preemptive strike against Hezbollah "not the final word"

The Prime Minister placed an emphasis on the importance of the IDF preemptive strike against Hezbollah for making the north safe for its evacuated residents.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu read a statement today (Sunday) before the weekly government meeting, stating that the IDF preemptive strike was "not the final word" in the IDF's effort to deter Hezbollah and restore safety to the north.

Perhaps heading off criticism that the government only cares about protecting the country's wealthy center and not its northern areas, Netanyahu stressed the IDF's destruction of thousands of "short range" rocket launchers capable of attacking civilians and soldiers in the Galilee before mentioning the interception of hundreds of drones aimed at the center.
