Hezbollah attack on Israel, IDF Air Force Base hit

Missile Hits Air Force Base in North, IAF Dismantles Terror Cell

Army Radio reported that anti-tank missiles struck an air control base, but the base’s operational capabilities and detection systems remained intact. Alerts were triggered in the Upper Galilee and Meron, and Lebanese media later reported that the base had been directly hit. Hezbollah subsequently claimed responsibility for the attack.

Army Radio noted that although the air control base was struck by anti-tank missiles, its operational and detection systems continued to function.

There were no reported casualties, and the IDF is investigating the incident.

Earlier on Friday morning, the IAF targeted and eliminated a terrorist cell from Tayr Harfa in southern Lebanon. The IDF reported that this cell was planning to launch projectiles into Israel. Additionally, a subsequent launch from the area suggested the presence of weapons and rockets. Israeli artillery also targeted positions in the Chebaa area of southern Lebanon.

On Thursday, the IAF hit a Hezbollah weapons storage facility in southern Lebanon, which led to secondary explosions indicating a large stockpile of arms. The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that an IAF strike in Beit al-Jabal resulted in two fatalities, including a child. The IDF, however, stated that those killed were Hezbollah operatives.
