Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the "Ramat David" Air Force Base today (Wednesday). There, he held a discussion with senior Air Force officials, including the Air Force Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Omer Tishler, and the Commander of the Air Defense Array, Brigadier General Gilad Biran. During the discussion, Netanyahu received a comprehensive briefing on the Air Force's preparedness across all sectors, with a particular focus on the north.
Additionally, Netanyahu toured a display of various combat systems at the base, including attack helicopters and fighter jets. During the visit, he was shown the attack capabilities of these various aircraft and their importance for performing the numerous missions of the Air Force in both defence and attack, against both near and distant threats.
Netanyahu also met with aircrews, operators, and technical teams, and later with commanders. The Prime Minister praised their work and discussed the significance of their roles in defending the country and maintaining Israel's security superiority against its adversaries.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "I am here, at the Air Force base, to closely observe our preparations against both near and distant threats. We are prepared for every scenario – both in defence and in attack."
"The Air Force is our iron fist that knows how to strike at the enemy's soft underbelly. The ground crew, pilots, and commanders here are doing heroic work. They prove it time and again, and if needed, we will prove it again and even more so."
