For a long time, the terrorist organization Hezbollah has been testing Israel and the IDF's red lines, but today it seems they have crossed another barrier on the way to what appears to be a full-scale war.
Hezbollah has been gradually increasing rocket fire at Katzrin, including 50 rockets, some of which hit buildings in the settlement. This follows a gradual rise in Hezbollah's barrages, with approximately 100 rockets fired per day in the past week. Hezbollah has also increased the use of UAVs, recognizing this as a vulnerability for Israel, which currently lacks a complete response to this threat.
Earlier today, following the massive rocket attack on Katzrin in response to an IDF operation in Lebanon, the IDF Spokesperson for Arabic media issued a statement saying that Israel would respond to the destruction: "Hezbollah fired at civilians; we will act accordingly."
Even last night, heightened activity was felt in the northern region, with many residents being asked to stay close to protected areas, cancel community activities, and avoid swimming pools. Defense Minister Yoav Galant met with Northern Command commanders, who made it clear that they are prepared for a full-scale war, and under orders, they could deploy into Lebanon within 60 seconds.
