As a result of the explosion, a passer-by was moderately injured and taken for medical treatment. According to the police statement, "Since the evening hours yesterday, officers from the Tel Aviv district, bomb disposal experts, and forensic personnel have been working in cooperation with the Shin Bet at the scene of the explosion on Lachish Street in Tel Aviv, conducting all necessary actions and checks in coordination with Shin Bet. Now, after all actions have been completed, it can be stated that this was a terror attack involving a powerful explosive device."

As mentioned, immediately following the incident, the Tel Aviv District Commander conducted a special assessment with all investigative and support agencies, instructing to raise the level of alert and conduct extensive searches throughout the Greater Tel Aviv area.
