The terrorist stole Perry's weapon and fled the scene, with the manhunt for him ongoing. New details have emerged about the attack that occurred yesterday in the industrial area of Barkan in Samaria, which claimed the life of Gideon Perry.

The attack happened in an open area between two factories. Gideon Perry, who worked as a security guard, was escorting workers from one factory to another when the terrorist ambushed him from behind, struck him with a hammer, and inflicted life-threatening injuries. His death was later confirmed at the hospital. The attacker escaped with Perry's weapon and fled the area in a vehicle. Surveillance footage shows the terrorist stopping the car at the roadside and continuing his escape on foot. The IDF continues the manhunt with special forces and numerous troops conducting roadblocks and pursuing the terrorist.

Last night, Central Command Chief Major General Avi Blot visited the attack site, held a situational assessment, and stated: "This is a very severe attack. I met with the commanders and the head of the Kadum Council at the scene, and I want to extend my condolences to the Perry family and share in their sorrow. We are pursuing the heinous terrorist and will soon bring him to justice. Meanwhile, we will investigate thoroughly to learn from this and try to prevent similar incidents in the future."
