Ceasefire negotiations, Hamas-Israel deal, Hostage release

Hamas Announces Rejection of New Proposal

Hamas's office has officially declared that it will not accept any proposals presented during the current negotiations and is unwilling to agree to terms proposed in recent discussions.

In a recent statement, Hamas's official bodies confirmed that they will not accept any of the proposals from the latest round of negotiations regarding the release of hostages. This follows a day of international reports on compromise proposals and possible terms for an agreement, with increasing proximity to a deal. Hamas has now decisively rejected these options.

The official Hamas statement highlights that the new proposal, which emerged after recent negotiations, is completely unacceptable. It meets Netanyahu's conditions, including his refusal to agree to a permanent ceasefire and a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. The proposal also insists on continuing to occupy the Nitzarim, Rafah, and Philadelphi Corridors, and introduces new conditions regarding prisoner exchanges and other aspects of the Israeli stance, which hampers the success of the deal.
