Lone Soldier Funeral, IDF death

Thousands Attend Funeral of Lone Soldier Who Died Unexpectedly

Thousands gathered at the cemetery in Rishon Lezion to pay their final respects to Jordan Cooper, a lone soldier who passed away due to an allergic reaction, following his family's request. The funeral took place this evening (Tuesday) at the Rishon Lezion cemetery.

Cooper, a lone soldier from the U.S. who served in the Nahal Brigade and remained in Israel after his discharge, had also served many days in reserve duty since the beginning of the war. He died yesterday from an allergic reaction to something he ate. His family was concerned that there might not be enough attendees due to flight cancellations from the U.S. to Israel. They appealed to the people of Israel to "come and accompany him on his final journey so that he would not be alone in death."

Indeed, thousands arrived at the "Ganei Esther" cemetery in Rishon Lezion this evening to pay their last respects.

May his memory be blessed.
