A unique ceremony: 101 Haredim trained to serve on local security response teams
The second class of the "Halacha Lema'aseh" program has been completed, with 101 Haredim now trained to handle rifles and serve in local security response teams.

The rifleman level 03 training course for 101 Haredim living in Judea and Samaria ended last night (Thursday) in a ceremony on Jerusalem's Ammunition Hill which included Central Command Commander Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth, Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brig.-Gen. Yaki Dolf, project leader Brig.-Gen. (res.) Pinni Levy, Netzach Yehudah Association Director Yossi Levi, and representatives of the Haredi military administration in the IDF Personnel Directorate.
The IDF has been working on a plan to promote the training of Haredim to reach rifleman level 03 in order to strengthen the defense of Haredi settlements in Judea and Samaria. The Central Command Commander said that seeing 101 Haredim complete their training and become soldiers has particular meaning at this time.
