According to a report by Shahar Klayman from *Israel Hayom*, sources speaking to the Lebanese newspaper *Al-Jumhuriya* indicated that the timing of the Hezbollah response to the assassination of the senior figure Fuad Shukr has been set for when a significant target appears. At that point, the decision to retaliate will not be delayed and will be carried out immediately. The sources also noted that "Israel will receive a response commensurate with the extent of its crimes."

Regarding Israel’s preparation for the potential attack, the sources commented: "While Israelis are eager to know when and how we and Iran will respond, some are hoping for a formal response. All Israel needs to do until then is remain in a state of concern and fear of the inevitable retaliation that will come."
