Shin Bet, Espionage

In these turbulent times, vigilance is key. Israelis need to be more wary of unexpected messages, resist the urge to overshare personal information, and think twice before clicking that tempting link.

In a startling revelation, Israel's Shin Bet has unmasked an intricate Iranian operation aimed at infiltrating the heart of Israeli society through social media. This isn't just cyber espionage – it's a full-scale attempt to turn ordinary citizens into unwitting agents against their own country.

The list of exposed profiles includes:

• "Itamar201020"

• "People's Army" Telegram group

• "VIP EMPLOYMENT"

• "Workers Wanted - Haifa"

• "Gal0111," "Hadas99," "Ramon_nkl96" intentions

These are just a few of the many masks worn by Iranian operatives in their relentless pursuit to compromise Israel's national security. The Shin Bet warns that engaging with these profiles could lead to dire consequences, both within Israel and for citizens traveling abroad.

Most alarmingly, this isn't a new threat – it's an ongoing campaign that has intensified in recent months. Tehran's digital army is working overtime, attempting to exploit the complex political and social landscape of Israel. Their goal? To sow discord, spread demoralization, and deepen societal rifts.

While many Israelis have wisely avoided these traps, the danger remains ever-present.

The Shin Bet, working in concert with other security agencies, continues its tireless efforts to detect and neutralize these threats. But in this new era of warfare, every citizen must become a front-line defender.
