Prices for homes outside Beirut are reportedly soaring, as many residents of the Beirut suburb and Hezbollah stronghold known as the Dahiyeh are desperately trying to leave amid fears of a general war, according to Naharnet.
Even some residents who support Hezbollah said that "But it's normal to be scared...and look for a safe haven."
Lebanese general solidarity with Hezbollah's war effort also appears more fraught than when Israel fought the terrorist organization in 2006. Then, support was widespread.
Today, however, Lebanese political leaders remain divided on Hezbollah's decision to launch a months-long border war in support of Hamas in Gaza.
