Haniyeh Assassination, Iran, Israel, Head of Hamas
The Mossad Promised Them a Huge Sum: New Details on the Assassination of Haniyeh
New details about the assassination of Hamas's political leader Ismail Haniyeh reveal connections with agents from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the millions offered to them, the difficulty in approaching the secluded house, intelligence collection in disguise, smuggling the agents out of the country, and the caution to avoid assassinating people nearby. Here are all the details:

New information about the assassination of Hamas's political chief, Ismail Haniyeh, indicates that the Mossad recruited individuals from the Revolutionary Guard and executed a swift and precise operation. According to a report in the *Jewish Chronicle*, two Iranian Revolutionary Guard agents recruited by the Mossad attached the explosive device to Haniyeh's bed in the room he was staying in Tehran.
It was also reported that the agents planted the device on the day of the assassination, rather than in advance, and immediately afterward, they entered a car waiting for them and were smuggled out of Iran by the Mossad. According to the report, the Mossad promised the two Revolutionary Guard agents a substantial sum, in the six-figure range, in exchange for the assassination, as well as asylum in a European country.
In the weeks leading up to the assassination, Mossad agents arrived in the area of the Revolutionary Guard's guesthouse to gather intelligence on the location. Due to the difficulty of approaching the building, which is situated on a hill, two teams of Mossad agents were equipped with camouflage clothing and blended in among the trees in the surrounding forest.
