French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné is set to visit Beirut this week in an effort to monitor the situation and encourage de-escalation of tensions, following the strike on Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukur and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh the previous week, according to Naharnet.

France, like many other countries including Germany and the United Kingdom, has called on its citizens to leave Lebanon as soon as possible and avoid the country during the present tense time.
