Report: Shin Bet completes preparation of Underground Bunker for Leaders in Event of War

According to Walla news, the Shin Bet security service has prepared an underground bunker in Jerusalem designed for senior leaders to use during wartime. This bunker is fortified against a variety of weapons, features command and control facilities, and is linked to the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv.

Jewish breaking news reports states that the Shin Bet has finished its preparation of the underground command centre and control bunker under Jerusalem. It is specially designed for times of war and is equipped for the countries political security leaders to have a control centre that can be used to manage war in a safe environment.

However, the Defence Ministry has clarified that it is responsible for the construction of the bunker, not the Shin Bet. The facility is designed to support extended stays and is impervious to all current weaponry. It includes advanced communications and technological systems to allow Israel’s political and security leaders to effectively manage responses to potential attacks, including the anticipated threat from Iran and its regional allies.

The new bunker complements "The Pit" at the IDF’s Kirya headquarters in Tel Aviv, with both facilities connected and integrated with other national command and control centres.

The Defence Ministry has chosen not to comment further on the report.
