An Israeli expert on Iran has warned that the Islamic Republic may be planning to target central areas of Israel in a potential attack, as tensions continue to simmer between the two nations.
Beni Sabti, speaking to Radio 103FM, suggested that Iran's military strategy typically favors quantity over accuracy. "It's not for nothing that they fire in quantity and not accurately because that's their way of thinking. When you decide in advance, you don't care who you hit," Sabti explained.
The expert indicated that Iran's response to recent events could be significant. "Their response always needs to look and be prominent," he said, adding that Iran might aim for "more populated areas" to achieve a notable impact.
Sabti also offered insights into the broader Israeli-Iranian conflict, suggesting that Israel's actions have generally avoided threatening the Iranian regime's survival. However, he warned that a major escalation could potentially inspire internal opposition within Iran.
"The assessment is that it will probably be something aimed at more central areas," Sabti concluded, though he expressed doubt that Iran would target city centers directly.
