The poll is consistent with several post-debate surveys showing Harris enjoying a slight bump and narrow edge over the Republican nominee.

A new CBS/YouGov poll released today (Sunday) shows Kamala Harris gaining a one-point edge over Donald Trump nationally, 50-49, and tied with the Republican candidate in the battlegrounds, 50-50.

Harris now enjoys the same edge with women as Trump did with men, 54-45, and has increased voter enthusiasm among Democratic voters generally to almost the same as Republicans, 85-88, with the critical Black vote now going from 58 to 74% in terms of those who say they will definitely vote.

More people consider Harris competent and energetic to do the job, while those worried about the economy and immigration think Trump will do a better job in handling it.
