This evening (Thursday), Red Siren alerts sounded in Rosh HaNikra and the border communities in the western Galilee, including Shlomi, Betzet, and Hanita.

According to initial reports, dozens of rockets were fired from Lebanon towards the Galilee communities, with some being intercepted. At this stage, there have been no reports of casualties or damage.

The current fire follows a relatively quiet day yesterday in the northern sector, despite concerns of a large-scale Hezbollah attack in response to the assassination of the organization's senior member Fuad Shukur on Tuesday. During the morning and afternoon, several alerts were heard in the border communities, but in both cases, the IDF spokesperson later confirmed that the alerts were triggered by false alarms.
