Netanyahu Situation Assessment: "Israel Is Highly Prepared for Any Scenario"

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conducted a situation assessment on the activities of the Home Front Command and stated, "Israel is in very high readiness for any scenario—both in defence and in offense. We will impose a very heavy price for any act of aggression against us from any front."

Amidst security tensions, Prime Minister Netanyahu held a detailed situation assessment today (Thursday) on the Home Front Command’s activities since the outbreak of the war, together with Interior Minister Moshe Arbel. At the same time, it was reported that Netanyahu is expected to speak this evening with U.S. President Joe Biden.

"I am concluding a visit to the Home Front Command. The General, I am impressed by the important work done so far. This is, of course, part of our preparations for what’s to come," Netanyahu said at the end of the meeting. "Israel is in very high readiness for any scenario—both in defence and in offense. We will impose a very heavy price for any act of aggression against us from any front."

He also noted, "After we eliminated Hezbollah's Chief of Staff, Mohsen, the final confirmation of the elimination of Hamas' Chief of Staff, Muhammad Deif, came today. Deif was responsible for the terrible massacre of October 7 and many other deadly attacks against Israeli civilians. He had been Israel's number one wanted person for years. His elimination reinforces a simple principle we have established—whoever harms us, we will harm them."

The briefing was provided by Home Front Command Chief Major General Rafi Milow and National Emergency Authority Head Brigadier General (Res.) Yoram Laredo. The discussion also included National Security Council Chief Tzachi Hanegbi, Chief of Staff Tzachi Broverman, the Prime Minister's Military Secretary Major General Roman Gofman, Prime Minister’s Office Director Yossi Sheli, Interior Ministry Director Ronen Peretz, Home Front Command Deputy Chief Brigadier General Liron Donel, Home Front Command Operations Officer Colonel Hai Rakach, Population Branch Head Colonel Sarit Gershkovich, and Protection Branch Head Colonel Yaniv Wolfer.
