American carriers United Airlines and Delta Airlines, along with British Airways, have suspended their flights to Israel. United informed its customers today (Wednesday) about flight cancellations in the coming days, while Delta announced cancellations for at least the next 48 hours.

The American airlines' affected flights are from New York to Israel and have been cancelled at least until August 6, while British Airways flights were scheduled to depart from London. United Airlines, which operates 14 weekly flights, is expected to announce additional cancellations later this week. Delta has not yet made a decision regarding further cancellations.

These cancellations come amidst growing concerns about the security situation in the region.

Travelers with bookings on these airlines are advised to check their flight status and contact the respective airlines for rebooking options or refunds. The situation remains fluid, and further updates from the airlines are anticipated as they continue to assess the situation.

This development could have broader implications for international travel to and from Israel in the short term. Aviation authorities and airlines are closely monitoring the situation to make informed decisions about future operations.
