Two days after they were arrested at the Sde Teiman base on suspicion of harming the Nukhba terrorist, today (Wednesday) the soldiers' version of the incident for which they are suspected is revealed for the first time.

At the start of the appeal hearing against the decision to extend the soldiers' detention, Attorney Nati Rom from the Honenu organization, who represents some of the soldiers along with Attorney Adi Kedar, attacked the military prosecution: "It is unacceptable that they prefer the version of a damned terrorist over the version of these heroic soldiers."

During the hearing, the attorneys revealed the soldiers' version of the event: "My clients were requested by the prison commander to conduct a search of several prisoners who had arrived due to a high-security threat to the facility. These prisoners were classified as violent and dangerous."

"During the search, the terrorist began to attack them, tried to bite two soldiers, and attempted to seize the taser gun held by one of the soldiers, which is why they had to use force to restrain him. The soldiers did not strip the terrorist during the search and used reasonable force according to the situation. There is a lot of fake news between this and everything that has been published in the media. It should be remembered that this is an arch-terrorist, rapist, and murderer."

The attorneys added that "my clients completely deny the accusations against them. No other person would have been willing to replace them in the role; the military advocate general would not have lasted a day or a week in the mission they performed with dedication for months on our behalf. If there is something to investigate, it should be done respectfully. It is unacceptable that they prefer the version of a damned terrorist over the version of these heroic soldiers."

Attorney Rom described the severe feelings of the soldiers' families following their arrest: "These are people with no criminal record who went out on October 7 to fight for the country. One of my clients is a bereaved son who was arrested on the anniversary of his father's murder; his children and wife are devastated; this is a stain that will not be erased. On the day my clients are released, we will all need to ask for their forgiveness." In the current appeal, Attorneys Rom and Kedar are demanding the immediate release of the soldiers.
