IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi visited a brigade level exercise of the Kfir Brigade in northern command today (Wednesday), which involved combined arms training for fighting in the north.

Halevi said to the forces there that "Yesterday afternoon we had the opportunity to kill Muhsen (Fuad Shukr). Muhsen is the most senior military figure in Hezbollah, and is also very close to Nasrallah, he effectively arranges all the military matters for him, arranged in the past tense."

After describing all the terrorist attacks Shukr oversaw, Halevi said: "Muhsen will no longer exist, but we are also not willing for the situation to return to a presence on the border, to 200 meters from Metulah, or from Shetulah, or from Rosh Hanikrah."

The IDF knows how to operate and also reach a particular window in a neighborhood in Beirut, it knows to attack a particular point underground, and we also know how to set out on a very strong maneuver inside, and you are practicing this, and this ability is very important."
