Foreign Minister Israel Katz sent a letter today (Wednesday) to his counterparts around the world following the strike against Hezbollah leader Fuad Shukr in Beirut, calling on them to ensure the threat Hezbollah presents is neutralized.
In the letter, Katz detailed the crimes of Shukr against Israelis and Americans, and the threat Hezbollah still presents to Israel.
He said that the world must "demand the immediate cessation of Hezbollah's attacks, its withdrawal to north of the Litani River, and its disarmament in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1701."
He finished by saying that "Israel is not interested in an all-out war, but the only way to prevent it is an immediate implementation of Resolution 1701."
