According to Galatz military correspondent Doron Kadush, the incident under investigation involves allegations of abuse of a terrorist. The alleged abuse occurred about three weeks ago when the terrorist was found in a severely injured state and was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. It should be noted that the terrorist is no longer in life-threatening condition.
For three weeks, MPI and military prosecutors have been collecting investigation materials and evidence. Based on this evidence, the decision was made to arrest the reservists today. It was reported that there are a total of ten reservists suspected in the case, all currently charged with the same offense—"severe abuse of a detainee." No additional charges have been filed, and it appears to involve group abuse.
One of the soldiers suspected in the case has not yet been arrested because he was not present at Teiman Field Base today, but sources familiar with the details indicate that he will be apprehended later.
