After a day of searching, the death of 11-year-old Jafara Ibrahim, who went missing following the disaster at Majdal Shams, was confirmed.
Yesterday (Sunday), the family of the boy claimed that he was present on the soccer field at the time of the disaster, but no evidence of his body was found. The family turned to all the hospitals in the area but nothing came up.
As a result, it was hypothesized that Jafraa was directly hit by the missile and as a result his body could not be found. Indeed, after a day of searching, the remains of Jafraa's body were found in the field.
An initial investigation by the IDF into the firing of the rocket that hit Majdal Shams and killed 12 children who were playing on the municipal soccer field, states that the rocket was apparently fired at a military base. The heavy, short-range rocket hit the town's sports field instead.
