SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk announced that his Starlink satellite internet service has been successfully activated in a Gaza hospital, thanks to support from the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

This move comes as many medical facilities in Gaza have been devastated by ongoing conflict. UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude for Musk’s assistance, highlighting the critical role of Starlink amid shortages of medical supplies.

The activation of the service follows Israeli government approval, granted over five months ago, for its use in the Rafah region, a hotspot of the conflict.
