US President Joe Biden is expected to meet later this week with the families of the abductees who have American citizenship - this is what White House officials said today (Tuesday). The meeting with the families will come during Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington.
Last night Biden addressed the issue of the war in Gaza and the release of the abductees during a telephone conference held with his campaign team, when he said that "we will continue to work very hard to end the war in Gaza. I will work with the Israelis and the Palestinians to return all the abductees home. I think we are close to doing that."
"I have six months left in my term, I am determined to do as much as possible - both in terms of foreign policy and in terms of domestic policy," he added. "So let me be clear, we're still in this effort together. I'm not going anywhere."
